Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (I used Anchor)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 240 ml sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used 2 tsp)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (I used dark choc chips)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 8x8 inch square.
  • In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate chips. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add sour cream and mix well. Add flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes or until golden brown and springy on the top.
And here a Red Velvet cake for my neighbour Mr Chan..Happy Chinese New Year!!

And both macaron boxes were given to Kak Hana & Mr Chan..hehehe..noticed I only used red ribbons..not because it's the spirit of dragon..but I am totally out of ribbons and that's the only left..will surely get more ribbon in stock!!

Okay..thank you so much dear people (I really mean it) and thank you so much for sending thank you notes to me..telling how good the cake was..suffice to say that, the key ingredients to my yummy cakes are my love and passion in baking..each cake was made carefully!

Again thank you so much!! Take care all and have a pleasant holiday!!
