Vintage Flower Box Wedding Cake

'I cried once this cake was finished', was my FB status on Wednesday. Here, let me allow the following picture do the talking. No, you dont need a tissue like what happened to me..I was being over-sensitive that day.

It was a huge experience. Something I've always wanted to do, something I craved for. Very intricate artistic work with a lot of creativity involved. Patient & passion. Pride. TQVM Anissa & Anita from Confetti Studio for sharing their expert knowledge in cake decoration to someone so little like me.

Interested? Do email me ;)

Alhamdulillah, below are all the bakes collected/delivered today. TQ lovely people!!

Have a great weekend to all! Take care..

Simply delicious New York Cheese Cake

Cheese cake is another big hit for us besides chocolate cake. And the kids have been pestering me for Secret Recipe's New York cheese cake since last week. As i had leftover of philly cheese from last week's RV order, I used them up for this delicious, decadent New York cheese cake.

I have kept this recipe for a long time and have used it since then..no matter how interesting other recipe are..i would always use this one and only recipe..I love the smooth and creamy taste..not too silky..the substantial cheese texture is what i love most..

Give it a try and tell me what u think!!

Ingredients:

For the cheese filling;
500g philly cheese at room temp
150ml sour cream
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
125gm castor sugar
1/2 tbsp flour
1 whole lemon zest
1 whole lemon juice
1tsp vanilla essense

For the base;
250gm digestive biscuit, blended
150gm unsalted butter

How to:

Grease 7 inch pan, i love a tall cheese cake as that's what a NY cheese cake should be..8 inch would be perfectly nice too. Pre-heat oven at 175 degree.

Melt butter, pour into biscuit and pressed onto the pan. Bake for 15 minutes and let cool.

In a bowl beat everything except the sour cream. Once smooth, add in the sour cream and beat till all were smooth.

Pour into the prepared pan with the base.

Bake for 20 minutes at 175 degree and continue for another 45 minutes at 150 degrees. Turn off the oven and leave the door ajar. Once cooled, place in the fridge over night.

Note: I didn't do any 'water bath' baking. Still perfect and no cracking.

My personal preference with the tall base around the edge..

Dallop with any topping you like..we love blueberry filling..nyummmmmyy..

Love having this once out of fridge..cheese-ice cream? Sinful!!

My 16mo shall point to the fridge asking for more..

Zarif's 3rd word is 'cake'...ask him, what mummy cook? ..you'll hear the priceless word..

Mummy is happy when everyone is happy..ditto :)

Today's bakes & cakes..

All four cakes were all baked last nite, lucky one had forwarded the date or it'll be 5 items to bake all together. I purposely accumulate the orders and did it in a shot. The reason being was i try not to get too busy nightly. The kids were complaining of the smell lingering when they sleeps (though ventilation fan as well hob was on) and they also complained why am i baking all these when i should be watching tv with them. So i try to pool in orders but in case there are orders for specific date/day, then it could be done with no hesitation.

Red velvet cake. TQVVM Kak Nor & really hope you and family likes it.

Blueberry cheese cake. TQVVM Azira & hope tastes good!

The followings were ordered by Nik. Mini red velvet cake as well as congo bars. TQVVVM and hope you likes it!

Till then peeps. It's school holiday, time aren't my best friend though.

Blueberry Cheese Cake

My kids simply loves anything with cheese. Be it dessert or main meal. And of course who would refuse something cheesy and delicious..

I baked this blueberry cheese cake last nite into 7 inch pan, now  almost by 3 pm..there were only 1/4 left.. They had  it at breakfast and as dessert after lunch...

This cheese cake was simply delicious and so simple to make..try it then you know it's worth it! The recipe is here at HANA's  . I simply substitute the choc with blueberry. I used to read Hana's blog almost everyday, now since she came back to M'sia..the blog was not updated..Mana lah cikgu Hana nih!

Last nite too, I baked Cotton Soft Durian for Bella. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do yer Bella!! TQVVM!

Have a good week peeps!
